Lukens first married Dorothy Ruby Sholder, daughter of Arthur M. Sholder and Mildred [—?—], in 1916.2 Wally T. Lukens married a second time Margaret Ashworth circa 1938.1 Wally T. Lukens died on 23 December 1971 at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 76 years, 3 months and 14 days.1,3 He was buried in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
