     Thompson Lukens was born on 7 July 1902 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,3 He was the son of Thompson W. Lukens and Rebecca Barnhart.1 Thompson Lukens first married Anna Sholder, daughter of Arthur M. Sholder and Mildred Westphal, circa 1921.2 Thompson Lukens married a second time Jeanette V. Smith circa 1932.1 Thompson Lukens died on 22 September 1971 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 69 years, 2 months and 15 days.1,3 He was buried on 25 September 1971 in the Mound Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Ray W. Schloyer and Reverend Robert L. Lundy.1
     Thompson Lukens appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 in the household of Thompson W. Lukens and Rebecca Barnhart at Williamsport, 11th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1970, Thompson Lukens lived at 400 Lycoming Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary was published on 23 September 1971 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Thompson Lukens, 69, of 400 Lycoming Street, died at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 1971, in the Williamsport Hospital.

     He was born here July 7, 1902, the son of Thompson and Rebecca Barnhart Lukens.

     He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

     He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanette V. Smith; two stepsons, Raymond S. Wagner, Linden RD, and George H. Wagner, city; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Laura May Waltz, Jersey Shore RD 3, and Mrs. Margaret A. Mitcheltree, Montoursville; a brother, Wally T., city; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Reed, Sun City, Calif., and Mrs. Margie Baker, Ormond Beach, Fla., nine step-grandchildren and 24 step great-grandchildren.

     The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Knight's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with his pastor, the Rev. Ray W. Schloyer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Robert L. Lundy. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The family will provide the flowers.1
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Thompson's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
