     Caroline M. Sholder was born on 25 March 1852 at Farm of Christian Sholder, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3 She was the daughter of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher.2,1 Caroline M. Sholder married, at age 26, Clinton M. Calkins, age 22, son of William Henry Calkins, on Tuesday, 4 June 1878 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend John Donahue.4,1,5 Caroline M. Sholder died on 9 April 1920 at age 68 years and 15 days.
     Caroline M. Sholder appears in family photograph on 24 August 1912 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This was taken as a part of a family reunion in which this photograph appeared in the Sunday Grit on 1 September 1912.

Sholders [Sholder] of Williamsport were by me united in the bonds of marriage at Williamsport according to the ordinance of God and the Laws of the State of Pennsylvania on the Fourth day of June A.D. 1878. It also shows Witness Present was E. M. [last name illegible] and is signed John Donahue, Minister of the Gospel.
