On 22 November 1869, The Lycoming Gazette and West Branch Bulletin merged to form the Daily Gazette & Bulletin newspaper.
Then on 12 September 1955 the Daily Gazette & Bulletin merged with The Williamsport Sun to become the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, an afternoon publication.
