Situated high on a knoll overlooking the peaceful Green River as it flows through Greenfield Massachusetts is the setting for the historic fifty eight acre Green River Cemetery. Consecrated in 1851, the town's largest cemetery is a picturesque landscape designed in the "rural tradition" after the famous Mount Auburn Cemetery.

The U.S. Geological Survey National Mapping Information locates this cemetery at 42° 34' 50" N 072° 36' 26" W.
