Katharina Barbara Schmidt was born on 29 April 1740 at Sindelfingen, Oberamt Böblingen, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 She was the daughter of Johann Jakob Schmidt and Eva Maria Renner.1 Katharina Barbara Schmidt married, at age 18, Johann Georg Leibfried, age 22, son of Johann Georg Leibfried and Maria Margaretha Koerner, on Tuesday, 23 May 1758 at Sindelfingen, Oberamt Böblingen, Neckarkreis, Württemberg.1 Katharina Barbara Schmidt died on 2 November 1816 at Sindelfingen, Oberamt Böblingen, Neckarkreis, Württemberg, at age 76 years, 6 months and 4 days.1
