     Jacob Sauter was born on 28 May 1833 at Weilheim, Oberamt Balingen, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg.1,2 He was the son of Johan Martin Sauter and Regina Dorothea Scholderer.1,2 Jacob Sauter married, at age 21, Christina Jacobus, age 26, daughter of Phillip Jacobus and Martha Thress, on Saturday, 14 April 1855 at Greenfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts.1,2 Jacob Sauter died before 1880.
