Kelchner married, at age 24, Mary Lou Alter on Monday, 30 July 1956.1 Norman E. Kelchner died on 6 October 1998 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 67 years, 1 month and 27 days.1,2 He was buried on 8 October 1998 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Harlan Frank Showers.1
