     Elmer Edward Biichle was born on 26 September 1900 at Lewisburg, East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Charles Biichle and Carolynn Glockler.1 Elmer Edward Biichle married, at age 21, Vinnie Mabel Sholder, age 19, daughter of Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller, on Wednesday, 22 February 1922 at Presbyterian Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,3 Elmer Edward Biichle died on 29 April 1983 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 82 years, 7 months and 3 days.1,2 He was buried on 2 May 1983 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Douglas Campbell.1

He retired in 1965 from the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company.1 As of 1982, Elmer Edward Biichle and Vinnie Mabel Sholder lived at 1504 Louisa Street, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary was published sometime in April 1983 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Elmer Edward Biichle, 82, of 1504 Louisa Street, died at 4:49 p.m. Friday, April 29, 1983, in the coronary unit of Williamsport Hospital, where he had been a patient since Wednesday.

     Born Sept. 26, 1900, in Lewisburg, he was the son of Charles and Caroline Gloechler Biichle.

     Mr. Biichle was a long-time employee of the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. until his retirement in 1965.

     He was a member of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, and a member of the church choir.

     Mr. Biichle also was a member of the Williamsport Senior Citizens and its choir.

     Mr. Biichle and his wife, the former Vinnie Sholder, observed their 61st wedding anniversary on Feb. 22.

     Surviving besides his wife, are two sons, Harold L., of Watsontown RD 2, and Howard L., of this city; a daughter, Mrs. Doris M. Ranck, of this city; a brother, Walter S., of Lake Park, Fla., nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

     The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gedon's, 2101 Northway Road, with the Rev. Douglas Campbell, interim pastor of Bethel Church, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday.1
