Frederick Sholder1,2,3

     Frederick Sholder was born on 8 March 1872 at farm of Christian (Scholderer) Sholder, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,2 He was the son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley.1 Frederick Sholder married, at age 23, Matilda Helen Miller, age 21, daughter of David Miller Jr. and Sarah Barner, on Tuesday, 14 January 1896 at Presbyterian Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Edward P. Morse.4,2,3 Frederick Sholder died on 4 May 1931 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 59 years, 1 month and 26 days.4,2 He was buried in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     The marriage announcement for Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller was published on 16 January 1896 in the Daily Gazette & Bulletin, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     Frederick and Helen were married by Rev. E. P. Morse at the Presbyterian Parsonage in Newberry. They are both living in Old Lycoming Township at this time. Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Frederick Sholder was a truck farmer. He and Matilda Helen Miller appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Frederick Sholder appears in snapshot circa 1918. This was taken at the home of Fred and Matilida Sholder.

     Frederick Sholder was listed as the next of kin on the World War I draft card of Victor Paul Sholder on 12 September 1918 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
